Common Waqaruzzaman took over as the Commander of the Bangladesh Army.

 

This data was given in a circular sent by the Inter-Services Open Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Sunday (June 23).

According to the ISPR, Lieutenant Common Waqaruzzaman has taken over as the Armed Forces Chief.

Earlier on June 11, Walker Oz Zaman was designated as the unused Armed Force Chief of Bangladesh in a notice sent by the Inter-Services Open Relations (ISPR).

 

According to the ISPR,

Lieutenant Common Waqaruzzaman was designated to the Bangladesh Armed Force on December 20, 1985, for the 13th Long Run Course.

He completed his graduation from the Defense Administrations Command and Staff College, Mirpur, and the Joint Administrations Command and Staff College, UK.

He, too, holds an ‘MA in Defense Studies’ from the National College and a ‘Master of Expressions in Defense Studies’ from King’s College,

 

College of London, UK.

 

His wonderful 39-year military career is full of authority, faculty, and preparing encounters. He served as Bad Habit Captain and Commander of the 17 East Bengal Regiment from February 12, 2009, to June 8, 2010. At that time,
