Leftist student politics had a rich history in Bangladesh before and after independence.

Left student organizations were at the leadership level in all democratic movements related to the country’s interests before and after the birth of the Bangladesh state, There was a time when slogans of student organizations started in Daput, including language movement, mass uprising, us news masters in computer science, war of independence, and anti-dictatorship movement. Most mass movements in the country were organized according to their plan.

But with time, this rich history and tradition disappeared.

Currently, leftist student organizations are trying to survive the crisis of existence.

There was a time when slogans of student organizations started in Daput; ordinary students also participated spontaneously. The organization’s march meant a gathering of thousands of students. But with time, the history in these newspapers is now. A small number now participate in these organizations’ programs.

Many are laughing at them on social networks.

Organizations have abandoned mass agendas and are limited to graffiti and “Chika mara.” Those affected believe that the state of the organizations is due to several reasons, including disintegration due to conflicts between them, repression of the ruling party, and moving away from programs related to students’ interests.

History has shown that the Bangladesh Students Union is the oldest of the left-wing student organizations in Bangladesh. In 2021, the organization split in two due to a rebellion centered around forming special committees and later councils.

There are now two bipartisan commissions

. As a result, there are eight to ten people in the particular program. The same is the case with the student federation. This organization has two parts. One is Jonaid Sakir’s Mass Mobilization Movement, and the other is Badruddin Umar’s National Liberation Council. The same applies to the Socialist Student Front. Since its split in 2018, the Marxist wing of the organization is known as Kalekuzamanpanti.

The ruptured part of the Chatra Front erupted again in 2021. Meanwhile, another organization was formed from the broken pieces. What emerged from the Madhur canteen was the ‘Democratic Student Council.’ Apart from this, organizations like Pahari Chhatra Council of Chittagong Hill Tracts, Biplabli Chhatra Maitri, and Bangladesh Chhatra League (JSAD) had no internal struggles but survived with small-scale activities. Some organizations only have 4 to 5 people in their programs, and some have as many as 12 to 15 people.

It left student politics in a crisis of existence.

Eight left-wing organizations formed ‘Gonantrik Chatra Yot’ to overcome the crisis in such a situation. There are also differing opinions, accusations of deviance, and ego issues, and they often cannot get along. Workers participating in coalition programs on various topics are also small. The organizations also complain that most are not students but brought from some Dhaka schools and colleges.

The situation is the same at Chittagong University. The Student Union, the Student Federation, the Student Front, and other left-wing parties jointly support the various issues of the university and the demands of ordinary students. Still, they have yet to have a single program. Their multiple programs or moves are nominally executed.

The number of people is also tiny.

The state of leftist student politics in Islamic universities is even worse. There are only the Student Union and Samajtantrik Chatrafront committees here. However, even though the student union works with a handful of 7-8 workers, only a few programs are celebrated on the student front. The other student organizations do not exist.

However,  situation is slightly different only at Jahangirnagar University. Here, the left-wing student organizations are in a better position than in the rest of the country. They have maintained their old place through various student-friendly programs.

Apart from this,

the number of workers who left student organizations in universities, colleges, and city branches across the country, including Jagannath University, Rajshahi University, Comilla University, and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, is now in crisis  us news masters computer science rankings

The question is, why are students no longer involved in organizations that once thrived? Why did thousands of students march down to 8-10 people?

Regarding the various obstacles,

The country has to be satisfied only with the status of a permanent observer in the United Nations.

Samajtantrik Chhatra Front Central President Salman Siddique said, “We are conducting a series of agitations for various demands, including rollback of anti-education policies.” Students receive support in
